Obituary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Mrs. Anita Chávez Torres, 66, who departed from this world on November 19, 2024, in Pasco, Washington. She was born on August 27, 1958, in El Guayabo, Michoacán, Mexico, as the beloved daughter of José Chávez and María Torres.

Having completed up to the third grade, Anita devoted her life with love and dedication to her home as a homemaker. For the past 10 years, she lived in the Tri-Cities, where she was a pillar of her family and a luminous presence in her community. A devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kennewick, her faith always guided her path.

Doña Anita found joy in the small yet significant things in life: lovingly cooking for her family, skillfully weaving, and cultivating vegetables and roses that graced her home. Her generosity and compassionate spirit made her an invaluable friend, always ready to lend a helping hand.

As an exemplary mother and grandmother, Doña Anita left an indelible mark on the hearts of her loved ones, who will deeply miss her warmth, wisdom, and companionship. Her absence leaves a tremendous void, but her legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on forever in those fortunate enough to have known her.

May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for her family and friends.

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." - Psalm 23:1
