Madilyn Susanne Gabica, age 10, of Richland, WA died on May 29, 2016 near Pomeroy in the Umatilla National Forest. She was born June 30, 2005 in Reno, Nevada to parents Daniel and Alissa Gabica. She has lived in the Tri-Cities for five years. Madilyn was a fifth grade student at Badger Mountain Elementary School, which she enjoyed. She filled her life with cheerleading, drawing, crafts, dance, and parties with her girlfriends, athletics, shopping, music and Mad-libs. Madilyn is survived by her mother, Alissa Gabica; siblings, Byron (18) and Jillian (7); grandparents Sue Swedin, David Baker, Joe and Ann Gabica; Uncle Chris Gabica (wife Kristin); cousins Natalie and Samantha Gabica; great-grandmothers Mary Lamont, Joyce Blick (husband Tom); great-grandparents Neil and Jean Hopler; great-grandfather Don Elwood. She was preceded in death by great-grandfathers, Raymond Gabica, Sr. (paternal) and Joe Lamont (maternal). A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the South Hills Church, 3700 West 27th Avenue, Kennewick, WA. The interment will take place in their hometown in Reno, NV.
