Marcia Jane
Kruger
Feb 22, 1939 — Apr 21, 2023
Marcia Jane Kruger was born in Canby Minnesota and passed away in Renton Washington at the age of 84. She was a daughter of Gerrit and Bertha Borgers. Marcia had one sister Marie, and several half brothers and a half sister from Gerrit's previous marriage whose Gerrit's first wife had passed. Marcia married Ronald Kruger in 1957 and had one son Mark in 1959. They lived in Redwood Falls Minnesota and then New Ulm Minnesota. In 1967 the family moved to Spokane Washington to be closer to Ronald's family as they all were living in Spokane. After a time, Ronald's work moved the family to Moses Lake and then to Kennewick Washington. Ronald passed in 2008 and eventually Marcia moved closer to son Mark who was now living in Seattle. Marcia was an active Jehovah's Witness for her whole life as her mother had learned of Jehovah's Witnesses before the children were born. Marcia's parents bought her a piano and hired teachers for piano at age 6. She would go on to play many recitals when young and played for decades at local Kingdom Halls to play Kingdom melodies. Even to her last few weeks of life she was playing and singing songs and melodies and although had a large library of songs would almost totally focus on the songs supplied on jw.org. She also worked decades as a tailor in men's clothing stores. Eventually her husband moved out of retail and Ronald and Marcia had two stores in the Tri-Cites Washington that sold Sewing Machines and vacuums as well as a carpet rental machine business throughout parts of Washington and Oregon. But always their main work and love and focus was as of Jehovah's Witnesses. Marcia is survived by her son Mark in Seattle, Washington. She also has a sister-in- law Eunice and a brother-in-law Arnold living in Spokane a brother-in-law Richard and brother-in-law Rhondo in Minnesota as well as many nieces and nephews and long time caregiver Lori in Kennewick.. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 ~ 2:00 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Kennewick, WA.
