Margaret Ann Christian was embraced into the arms of her Lord and Savior on November 9, 2023. Born in Spokane, WA on May 8, 1942, she was preceded in death by Neal Christian, her husband, her parents, Donald and Margaret Hilton, and her sister, Cindy Miller. Neal and Margaret were married on July 13, 1963, and spent 45 years together raising their family and serving their community. The home of Neal and Margaret was always a welcome place for family and friends. Margaret grew up in Spokane, WA and attended West Valley High School, Deaconess School of Nursing, Whitworth College, receiving a Batchlor of Health Science, and Gonzaga University, receiving a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. She spent her life serving others, personally and professionally, having worked for Deaconess Medical Center and Valley Hospital for 43 years before retiring in 2007.
Family, faith, and friends were the most important pillars in her life, and she was the family's beloved matriarch. She had many interests ranging from photography, gardening, flowers, card making, reading, traveling, and documenting her life's journey through scrapbooking, leaving her family a beautiful photo memoir.
Margaret is survived by her brothers, Wally and Ron Hilton, and her children, Annel (Steve) Dickson, Kathleen (Douglas) Fry, Stepanie (Jim) Zimmerman, and Cheryl (Bryan) Stone; Grandchildren: DeAnna and Carlie Dickson, Jacob and Matthew Fry, Justine Norton, Neal and Jessica Zimmerman, and Katelyn and John Stone; Great-Grandchildren: Christian, Hayden, Nicholas, Rhys, Wyatt and Rhett Dickson, Noah and Boaz Fry.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service is being held on November 25, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Margaret Ann Memorial Fund at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church.
