Maria Guadalupe Chavez, born on May 22, 1976, in Othello, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, in Kennewick, Washington, due to natural causes. A devoted mother and beloved sister, Maria is survived by her father, Leopoldo Chavez; her sons, Christian Chavez, Jonathan Chavez, and Jorge Monge; her daughter, Eva Flores; and her sisters, Alexandra, Norma, and Brenda Chavez, along with her brother, Joel Chavez.

Maria's life was defined by her unwavering spirit and deep love for her family. Though she had limited formal education, her determination and strong work ethic shone through in her career in janitorial services. Maria had a vibrant personality, and she cherished simple pleasures-she loved to dance and often spent her evenings watching her favorite novelas, finding joy and comfort in every episode.

A Rosary service is scheduled for August 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Einan's at Hillcrest Pasco, with public viewing available earlier that day from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m followed by committal service at City View Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on August 26, 2026.

Maria's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
