Joann Ness, 91 of Pasco, WA passed away on April 13, 2023. She was born February 10, 1932, in Kelso, WA to Walter and Olivia Hankins. Joann had been a resident of the Tri-Cities since 1945. After she graduated from Pasco High in 1950, she married Bing Kirsch. Bing, a Navy Veteran, died an early death in 1957 and Joann became the single mother of her two-year-old daughter Lynn. In 1959 she married again to Arnie Ness and had another daughter, Laurie. Joann worked as a bank teller, a secretary for the carpenter's union and for the family car dealership; but mostly she was a loving mother, great listener and homemaker for her husband and girls. Joann was a member of the Desert Springs Covenant Church and a master gardener. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, floral arrangements, painting and making gifts for her loved ones and friends. Joann is survived by her daughters Laurie Ness and Lynn Francis, her grandchildren Christy and Ryan Albert, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnie Ness.
