MICHAEL G. WHEELER, SR. Hillcrest Bruce Lee Michael Glynn Wheeler, Sr. age 68 of Pasco passed away on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House. Mike was the oldest child of Glynn and the late Ellamae Wheeler of Kennewick, and was born on February 23, 1941 in Yakima, WA. He is survived by his wife, Shelly Wheeler of Pasco, his father, Glynn E. Wheeler and his sister Judy L. Wheeler of Kennewick. He is also survived by his daughters Jacqueline Dave of San Diego, CA, Anastasia Rief of Pasco, WA and sons Kenneth Melissa Wheeler of Yakima, WA Michael, JR.MelanieWheeler of Richland, WA and 13 grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Ellamae, his previous wife, Mary and two sons James G. and John E. Wheeler. Mike lived in Yakima, WA; California, Texas, Germany, Pennsylvania, and Seattle, WA growing up the son of an Army officer before the family settled in Kennewick, WA where Mike graduated from Kennewick Senior High. Mike served in both the USN and USMC and received an Honorable discharge from both branches of service. Mike held various jobs throughout his life, and was an avid fisherman, but Mike was proudest of his commitment of volunteer service to his community with special attention to the Red Cross he was very close to reaching his goal of 25 gallons, and the Pasco Lions where he held many offices; was one of the key Lions responsible for installing the American Flags on the Cable Bridge on holidays, and he and his late wife Mary prepared many fine meals for veterans at the American Legion.
