Neva Jean Corkrum a lifelong resident of Pasco Washington passed away on October 17, 2022.

Visitation will be Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4pm- 8pm at Hillcrest Funeral home, 2804 W. Lewis St., Pasco.

Funeral service will be held at First Lutheran Church, on the corner of 5th and Bonneville, Pasco on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11am.

Neva was born in Bloomfield, Nebraska on October 2, 1934, to Ervin "Slim" Mass and Wilnar "Tudy" Mass (Freeburg). She married her high school sweetheart Philip Roger Corkrum in September 1952.Neva is preceded in death by her husband Philip, Brother Homer, Sister-in-law Iris and her parents. Neva is survived by her son David Corkrum (Anita), Children Lynnsey Campbell (James). Her Daughter Jackie Hanson (Steve), Children Randi Renee Hammer (Mark), Ryan Mullen, David Hanson (Colleen), and Daniel Hanson (Allysha). Her Daughter Nancy Linman (Rob), Children McKenzie Linman (Tyler), Madison Contreas (Oscar), and McKayla Linman. She was blessed with 15 Great Grandchildren. Neva attended Whittier Elementary school and Pasco High. Neva worked for Franklin County her entire career. Beginning in the Extension Office and later moving to the Auditor's office. Neva eventually ran for the elected position of Auditor and served two terms. She then ran for County Commissioner and became the first woman to hold that office. During her 20 years as County Commissioner Neva held many state positions including with the Department of Health, Transit Authority and State Risk Pool. She was a member of Kiwanis, Pasco Chamber of Commerce, United Way and PEO. She loved gardening and playing Bridge. Neva was an avid football and baseball fan of the WSU Cougars, Seattle Seahawks, and the Mariners. One of her proudest moments was helping to oversee the restoration of the historic Franklin County Court House. Neva was a lifelong member of Pasco First Lutheran Church and was a diehard Bulldog. She was inducted into the Pasco High Hall of fame in 2004. Neva was known by all on sight and if you had a chance to speak with her, a friend for life.
