Obituary

Patricia L. (Patti) Mann Church

Our beloved Patricia L. (Patti) Mann Church peacefully departed this life on Friday, October 3, 2025, in the comfort of her home with family and friends. Patti was born on February 25, 1940, to Jay and Irene Avery in Tenino, Washington. She and her husband moved to Connell, Washington in the 1980s. Patti relocated to Pasco, Washington in 1992.

She was a talented artist. She loved diamond painting, sketch coloring, quilting, home interior, and her talents never ended. She also enjoyed playing Skipbo cards with her family. She was a postal worker and loved her road trips to Oregon. Patti was a people person and never met a stranger. She was a loving woman and did not mind sharing the word of God with anyone who would listen. Patti was a firecracker, energetic, "bling bling" type of person – "LIFE WON'T SPARKLE UNLESS YOU DO IT." She was very fashionable, sassy, and well loved by all who knew her.

Patti's life was a testament of God's goodness and faithfulness. She stood tall – not just in physical strength, but in spiritual strength – trusting in the Lord through every trial she faced. We know the grace of God sustained her throughout her life. Patti found the Lord at the age of 39 at the Church on the Hill in Connell, Washington, on January 21, 1979, and her faith never waivered. She always shared her testimony with everyone she knew. She was instrumental in bringing her children and grandchildren to Christ. Her favorite scripture was Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Irene Avery, her husbands, three children - Cynthia, Lex, and Troy. Patti leaves to cherish her memory – Sons - Rex (Raeanne) Braley, Portland, Oregon; Steve (Karen) Bennett, Terrebonne, Oregon; David (Marguerite) Bennett, Eugene, Oregon; Daughters - Melodee Koeper, Kennewick, Washington; Karen (Todd) Stallbaum, Waterford, Wisconsin; Kathy Bennett, Walla Walla, Washington; Sisters – Dianna Avery, Pasco, Washington; Donna Delbeck, Juneau, Alaska; Brothers – Gene (Lois) Avery, Redding, California, and William (Judy) Avery, Cottage Grove, Oregon; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She leaves behind her special friends, Janice, Maria, Arthur, Brenda, Tina, Doug, Pastor Dave and Mary, Sandy, and her special dog and soul mate Marilyn Monroe.

Patti, your heart was as big as the world. Your sassiness and love for life and giving spirit left a mark on all who knew you. We thank God for the gift of your life. You will be deeply missed!
