Randolph Lee Schreiner, or Randy as everyone knew him, was born Feb. 17, 1951. While surrounded by love, he was called home to God to join his parents, George and Clara Schreiner, and sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Michael Brinkley, on April 17, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dana; their children KerriAnne and Adrienne; granddaughter, Naya; sister, Barbara; 12 nieces and nephews; 8 great-nieces and nephews; and countless more friends and family.

For almost a year, Randy and Dana lived with their eldest daughter KerriAnne and her family in the Denver, CO area while Randy underwent grueling treatment for aggressive stage 3b Esophageal cancer. His plan was to finish treatment, return home to Richland, WA, travel and enjoy retirement. Unfortunately, God had other plans.

A loving husband and father, Randy's dedication to his family, kind spirit and passion for life were driving factors during his illness. He fought until the very end.

Randy and Dana met while attending a Boy Scout convention in Portland, OR. His amazing smile was the first thing Dana noticed, and Randy was immediately smitten. They were married June 24, 1972.

Their first home was a 10' x 44' mobile home in Troutdale, OR while Randy worked to design sawmill equipment for Rust Engineering and complete his engineering license. In 1981, a new job opportunity brought Randy and Dana to Las Vegas, NV. She was 8-months pregnant with their eldest daughter, so the movers came just in time. Their family was complete when their youngest daughter was born in 1983.

A fiercely committed family man, Randy attended every parent-teacher conference, sporting event, dance recital and school concert. In 2009, the family was met with a life-changing challenge when another job brought Randy to Richland, WA. While Randy thrived in this community, a piece of his heart was left behind with Dana while she supported their family in Las Vegas and sold their home. Randy split his time between his family in Las Vegas, job in Washington and elderly parents in Portland, OR. The dedicated couple was reunited in 2019 when Dana was finally able to join Randy in Washington.

As a member (and later President) of the Tri-Cities Wine Society, Randy loved discussing different wines, the friends he'd met and the countries he and Dana had explored. He enjoyed outdoor grilling; watch and coin collecting; travel; photography; music, especially classic rock; movies; and of course, wine.

He will forever be immensely loved and remembered for his shy demeanor, charming smile and sense of humor. The hole he has left behind will never be filled and he will be greatly missed.. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 11am ~ 1pm at Einan's at Hillcrest 9353 W. Clearwater Ave, Kennewick, WA
