Raymond John Johnson, age 92, died June 28, 2011 at Life Care Center of Richland. He was born Raymond J. Gorczyca in Detroit, Michigan on June 4, 1919 to parents John and Yadwiga Gorczyca. He changed his surname in 1956 to Johnson. Raymond joined the US Army in March 1943 and was honorably discharged in March 1946. After the military, he worked for the US Air Force as a Flight Line Inspector at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, Utah. He has lived in the Tri-Cities for 20 years. Raymond is survived by his three children, William, Jo Ann and Robert John; good friends, Lowell and Aiko Hatten.
