Obituary

Richard Kenneth Hansen joined his best friend and Savior Jesus Christ on October 12, 2023.

"Dick" was born November 22, 1930 to Danish immigrants, Martin and Abalone Hansen in Selma, California.

Dick graduated from Reedley High, Reedley College and the University of California where he graduated as Civil Engineer. His education was interrupted for two years when he served in the US Army, stationed in Germany. Upon graduation, he worked for the State of California. He then moved to Sacramento, California to begin a 15 year career in the Aerospace industry with Aerojet General.

During that time, he met and married God's gift of a wonderful soul mate, Jeanie Cox. To this union, were born three children...David, Beth and Paul.

Dick and family moved to Richland, Washington in 1974 where he worked for Westinghouse Hanford, constructing and operating the Fast Flux Test Facility. He retired in 1994.

Dick loved the Lord and His church wherever he lived. He taught the Word of God to children and adults. He served as an elder at Bethel Church for many years. He and Jeanie opened their home for various avenues of ministry. They especially loved the singles in the community and for 10 years, weekly hosted the Saint Street Singles.

Surviving are his brother Stan of Portland, OR, his beloved wife Jeanie, son David, daughter Beth, son Paul...their mates, eight beautiful grandchildren and one precious great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 2:00pm at Sunset Gardens in Richland Washington.
