Robert William
Bready
Aug 12, 1953 — Jun 21, 2024
Robert William Bready of Benton City, Washington, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on August 12, 1953, in Provo, Utah, to Robert E. Bready and Jean (Harmon) Bready, he lived a life filled with love, service, and dedication to his family and community.
On May 15, 1982, Robert was sealed for time and all eternity to Lori Anne Grout in the temple. Together, they raised three wonderful children: two sons and a daughter. Robert had a distinguished career as an Architectural Designer/Engineer, serving faithfully at Meier Associates for 25 years before joining Amazon, where he worked until his retirement.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Robert held numerous callings and served diligently throughout his life. His faith and service were central to who he was. Robert had a lifelong passion for flying, spending nearly 50 years as a pilot and flight instructor. He also cherished sailing, a skill he learned from his father as a teenager. Many cherished family memories were made sailing in the San Juan Islands.
Robert is survived by his eternal companion of 42 years, Lori; his sons, Marc (Alisha) Bready and Travis (Krysta) Bready; his daughter, Alissa Hebbeln; and his four beloved grandchildren, Victoria, Sera, Sean, and Caleb. He is also survived by his seven siblings: Randy Bready, Brian Bready, Sharon Davis, Mike Bready, Jon Bready, Sandy Bready, and Jenny Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
In remembrance of Robert's life and legacy, a viewing will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation, 9353 W. Clearwater Ave., Kennewick, Washington. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4500 Maple Ln., West Richland, Washington, with a viewing at 10:00 am, followed by the funeral at 11:00 am. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 7 Corral Creek Rd., Benton City, Washington, beginning at 2:00 pm.
As we remember Robert, we take comfort in the words of the Book of Mormon: "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them" (Ether 12:27). Robert's life was a testament to this promise, as he exemplified humility, faith, and strength throughout his mortal journey.
