Robert LaMar Reeder was born March 17, 1940 in Logan, Utah to Robert Hancey Reeder and Norma Marie Reese. LaMar had a peaceful return to his eternal home on March 25, 2016 at the age of 76 at his home in Kennewick, Washington. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosann B. Reeder, and their six children and their families. He is also survived by his sisters, Karen (Joseph) Peterson, Elaine (Leon) Thompson, and brother Brent (Lila) Reeder, and numerous beloved family members and friends. LaMar had 18 grandchildren through Robert (Tricia), Steven (Eileen), David (Anika), Ann (Eoin) Davis, Micheal (Kimberly), and Brian (Sarah). LaMar was preceded in death by his parents. LaMar was known for his happy and social disposition, and would make friends with all he met. In his career as an agronomist and sales manager for Ag Engineering he traveled throughout North America, and was well acquainted with the farmers and farms of the Columbia Basin. LaMar was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, raised in a faithful family. As a young man he was called to the Southern States and Florida Missions, and had a great love for the people of Alabama and Florida. He served wherever he was called, working in bishoprics, Sunday School, and the nursery. He loved being a missionary for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Later in life LaMar received great joy from serving with Rosann in the Columbia River temple. LaMar was a devoted husband and father. He met Rosann through a mutual friend at Utah State University, where he earned a degree in Soil Science. They married for time and were sealed for eternity in the Logan LDS temple in December, 1964. LaMar played high school football and as an adult, he loved to play basketball and softball. He was known for his skill and unique style as a pitcher. An active lifelong Scouter, LaMar served in a dedicated way to help many young men progress in Boy Scouts to achieve the rank of Eagle. In 2013, he received the District Award of Merit from the Blue Mountain Council. LaMar had a ready smile, an infectious laugh. He will be missed dearly until we meet again.
