Mr. Ronald Irvin Boles

Mr. Ronald Irvin Boles, age 80, passed away on April 21, 2026. He was born on August 23, 1945 in Yakima, Washington, to James and Evelyn Boles.

Ronald lived a life marked by humility, simplicity, and quiet pride in the things he loved and the people he cared for. On December 15, 1965, he joined the United States Army and honorably served during the Vietnam War, carrying with him a strong sense of duty and commitment.

He married Kathleen, the love of his life, and together they built a family centered around love and loyalty. They were blessed with their son, James E. Boles.

Ronald had a deep appreciation for animals throughout his life. He shared his home and heart with an Australian Shepherd, a Black Lab, an American Eskimo dog, a cat named "Lover," and a bird he cared for deeply. Each one held a special place in his life.

He found joy in the simple things. Fishing was one of his greatest passions—something he was both skilled at and deeply enjoyed in every way. He also loved spending time at the casinos, visiting the Oregon Coast, bowling, and following and playing sports. In his younger years, Ronald proudly played basketball for the University of Washington Huskies, a memory he carried with pride. He enjoyed baseball and basketball throughout his life. Ronald had a straightforward personality and honest preferences; among them, he strongly disliked onions but enjoyed most other vegetables.

Above all, Ronald was a humble and steady presence in the lives of those who knew him. His greatest pride was his family, especially his granddaughter, Annabella Boles—his most favorite person in the entire world. He also shared a special bond with his step-grandchildren, Niko, Lukas, and Jakson, and took great joy in his great-grandson, Zachary.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Boles; his son, James (Becky) Boles; his beloved granddaughter, Annabella Boles; his step-grandchildren, Niko, Lukas, and Jakson; and his great-grandson, Zachary.
