ROSEMARY PATRICIA (Pat) HIBBS, 97 Pat Hibbs, 97, died peacefully on April 3, 2022, in Kennewick Washington. She was born July 24, 1924, in Parsons, Kansas, the daughter of Phillip and Bertha O'Brien. She was one of nine children. Pat graduated from Parsons High School and attended Parsons Junior College, where she graduated in 1943. Attended Kansas State University in 1947 where she met her husband Alvin L. Hibbs. In 1947, Pat married Alvin L. Hibbs, and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where they began their married life and started their family. In addition to raising their five children she also worked as a medical technician for ten years, the insurance business and became a travel agent for 25 years, later owning Hibbs Holiday Travel, which allowed her to travel extensively all over the world. She introduced travel to her grandchildren and encouraged them to travel as much as they could. Pat was a member of the Catholic Church, an avid member of the Republican Party of Bernalillo County, and member of the Republican Women of Albuquerque. Pat and Al lived in Greece 1977, for 3 years returning to Albuquerque in 1980. She remained in Albuquerque after Al's death in 1988. Pat then moved to Evansville, Indiana in 2008 with daughter Leslie and her husband John DePoe. In 2012, she moved to Kennewick, Washington and lived independently at Caynon Lakes Retirement Community and close to son Gil and wife Dorothy Hibbs and their family until she was at the Regency Rehab and Nursing facility. Pat is survived by her children: Martin and wife Margarita Hibbs of Albuquerque, NM, children: Chris and (Grace) Hibbs, Emily Hibbs, Mathew Hibbs and Jeremy and (Kadie) Templeman, Leslie and husband John DePoe of Tyler, Texas, children: Delene and (John)Churchill, and John and (Jeannie) DePoe, Debbie and husband John, of Santa Fe, NM, children: Jason and (Carole) Goeller, Kelly and (Xen) Stanhope, and Chelsea Weaver, Gil and wife Dorothy Hibbs of Kennewick, Washington, children: Ryan and (Kathy) Hibbs, Julie and (Travis) Rogers, Lisa and (Ben) Szendre, Rebecca and (Matt) Rigby, and Kerrie Rolphing, Cindy and husband Karl Garling of Farmington, NM, children Cassidy Garling, and Kayla and (Andrew) Watherhouse. She is survived by 22 Great-grandchildren. A celebration of Life will be held on May 9th, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
