Sharon Louise
Cornia
Mar 6, 1949 — Mar 13, 2026
Sharon "Sherrie" Louise Reeves Cornia, 77, of Kennewick, Washington, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Ciel of Tri-Cities.
Sherrie was born on March 6, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Darrell Eugene and LaRue Reeves. She attended Mechanicsburg High School in Pennsylvania and later achieved a personal milestone by earning her bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University in 2017.
On September 19, 1969, she married Neil Ryan Cornia. Together, they built a life centered on family and faith, residing in the Tri-Cities area for the past 40 years. A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sherrie served her community with a generous heart, including roles at Young Women Camp, personal banana bread deliveries to neighbors, and many years of service being a site manager and delivering for Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels.
Sherrie found great joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. Singing lessons from a young age led her to participate in many local choirs, harmonizing with a lovely alto voice. She was an avid writer and poet, a talented baker, and above all, she cherished her role as "Mom" and "Grandma".
She is survived by her husband, Neil; her brothers Ronald (Terrie), David (Judy), and Brian Reeves; and her nine children: Ryan (Michele), Jodi (Blake DeMille), Allyson (Ryan Risenmay), Shaneil (Matt Wilson), Wade, Matthew (Merrilee), Lezlie (Ethan Lee), Emily (fiancé Justin Hartinger), and Kelli (Theodore Wright). She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on March 21, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 10376 Ridgeline Dr, Kennewick, Washington. It will be preceded by a meet-and-greet with the family at 9:00 AM at the same location. Interment will follow the service at Desert Lawn Memorial in Kennewick.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to dementia charities, such as the Dementia Society of America or the Alzheimer's Association.
