Shona Sailor 52, passed away on Thursday January 4th, 2024. Shona was born in Pasco Washington to Essel Lee and Beverly Anne Smith on April 14th, 1971. She was raised in Kennewick and graduated from Riverview Highschool in 1990. After graduating she attended Columbia Basin College where she took classes in general studies for 2 years. Shona was formally married to Brad Sailor from 1994-2012. In 2000 they adopted their baby boy Jonathan Sailor. She was Employed as a head secretary at the Department of energy where she worked for 10 years before retiring in 2001. She became a proud grandma to a beautiful baby boy in April 2022. Shona lived in the Tri-cities for 52 years and raised her son in her home in Finley where she lived for the past 20 years. Shona was also a part of the Calvary Chapel Church of the Tri-cities and although she hadn't attended for some time, she was a loved member. Shona had several hobbies including collecting Vintage tins, sunbathing, painting rocks, making jewelry, puzzles, crocheting, camping, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She was proceeded in death by her father Essel Lee Smith and her uncle Richard Allen Mitchell Jr. She is survived by her grandmothers Rose Chastain and Opal Smith, her mother Beverly Anne Smith, her brother Nick (Tabitha) Smith, her son Jonathan (Cassidy) Sailor, her grandson Kane Sailor, her nephews Justin (Kayla) Smith, Austin Smith and many aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved very much. Services will be held at Hillcrest funeral homes in Kennewick, Washington on Saturday January 13th, 2024, at 3:00 pm with viewing at 2:00 pm.
