Thomas "Bill" Wilson, 85, of Richland, departed to be with our Savior on December 11, 2017.
He was predeceased by his son Tommy, first wife Janice, and second wife JoAnne. Bill is survived by his current wife Janelle, daughters Christy (Nigel), Carol (Larry) and Patty (Everett), and son Bill (Jana), as well as grandchildren Eric, Sarah, Jen, Cam, Nick, Colleen, Jack and Sam and great-grandchildren Olivia, Andrew and Ivy.
While Bill spent a few years in Arizona, Washington was his home. Born to Walter and Mabel Wilson in Seattle, and raised in north Seattle, he moved to the Tri-Cities after retiring in 1997 to be near two of his daughters and his three grandkids. Bill was in the car business, but enjoyed people more than cars. In his younger days he worked a few harvests with his uncle in Kansas, and served in the Civil Air Patrol.
Golf was Bill's game of choice, and he learned to play and love the game from his dad at Sand Point Country Club. He was a member of several different golf clubs including Meadow Springs, Tri-City Country Club and Sun Willows. The friends he made on the course were always more important than his pursuit of that elusive ace (nope, never got it!). Of course, he loved the Seahawks. He also rooted for the Huskies because most of his kids and grandkids went there.
As a long-time catholic, Bill attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kennewick, and the family knows he is now in a better place. A celebration-of-life is tentatively planned for next spring. In lieu of flowers, we suggest that contributions be made to TriCities Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick.
