Vicki Ann (Dugger) Anderson, 72, of Pasco, Washington, passed away peacefully in her home, on March 14, 2024.

Vicki was born on June 29, 1951, to G.C. and Helen (Modene) Dugger, in Prosser, Washington. The oldest of three daughters, she grew up in Benton City, Washington and attended Ki-Be High School, where she was known to be a friend to everyone. She was a baton-twirling song leader, homecoming queen her senior year, and involved in many activities at school. She graduated from Ki-Be High School in 1969. After high school, Vicki attended Washington State University in Pullman, and in 1970, she returned to the Tri-Cities area, where she worked as a waitress for about a year. It was during this time that she met her future husband, Steven Aman, and made the spontaneous decision to go on a year-long backpacking trip around the world, which she later referred to as her "real education." Anyone who knew Vicki had heard her many stories of her adventures on this trip. Shortly after returning from her travels in 1973, she married Steve, her traveling companion, and they settled in Pasco, Washington. In 1976, after working several odd jobs over the years, Vicki began a career in the medical field, working as a medical assistant, transcriber, and in secretarial and office management, which eventually led to her owning her own home business doing medical transcription for various local medical offices. Vicki and Steve had their daughter, Marissa Deanne Aman, on October 1, 1979. Vicki often told the story of taking walks around Pasco with Marissa in the stroller, and always passing by and admiring a beautiful two-story Cape Cod-style home. One day, there was a "For Sale" sign in front of it, and the rest is history. In October 1981, their little family moved into her dream home, where Vicki resided for 42 years, until her time of passing. In 1992, Vicki started her home-based transcribing business, which she worked hard at for about twenty years, until her retirement. She took immense pride in her work and supported her household through many phases of life. She and Steve both went on to eventually re-marry, but remained friends and partners in parenting their daughter, Marissa.

In 2001, Vicki re-connected with an old beau she had met in high school, Michael Anderson, and they married in 2004. They enjoyed their blended family, especially once they retired and had grandchildren to spoil. Mike was an avid gardener, and one of Vicki's greatest joys was spending time out in her beautiful cottage garden that he created, admiring the flowers and feeding the birds and squirrels. Vicki is survived by her sisters, Debra (Andy) Church and Sharon (Ron) McPherson; her daughter, Marissa (William) McNeal; her stepsons, Michael (Meredith) Anderson and Alex (Sara) Anderson; grandchildren Elias and Liam McNeal, Clementine and Quinn Anderson, and Max and Sloane Anderson; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anderson; her parents, G.C. and Helen (Modene) Dugger; and her nephew, Reece Church. Vicki was well known by all for her smile and laugh, for being a great friend, and especially for her love of reminiscing and storytelling. In honor of this, we are planning a Celebration of Vicki's life, where friends and family are welcome to come and share their memories of Vicki, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the American Legion, 908 Dale Avenue in Benton City, WA. Food and refreshments will be served.
