Violetta Lozano was born in Guagua Pampanga, Philippines on December 30, 1932 to Timothy and Gregoria Cruz. She was the third of five daughters born to her parents.

Violetta was removed from schooling prior to her highschool years to help in the family business. Violetta married her husband, Eloy Lozano, in 1958. Together they welcomed 7 children, 3 daughters and 4 sons, whom they raised in Guagua. Violetta proudly provided all her chilidren with higher educations from civil engineering to nursing.

Violetta was sponsored to come and live in the United States by her eldest daughter in 1986. Violetta started her career in elder care shortly after and retired at 65 after 20+ years of working. During that time she sponsored her six remaining children to live in the United States and six of her seven children remain in the Tri-Cities area today.

Violetta preferred a simple lifestyle and the one thing that brought Violetta the most joy was being with her family. She lived in her children's homes for most of her years in the US.

Violetta was a survivor and rebounded from significant medical conditions on multiple occasions. When she was given a life limiting diagnosis she always outlived those predictions. On the outside she was a small and delicate woman but on the inside she had a strong will to survive.

Violetta passed away peacefully on March 16, 2023 and is survived by her 7 children - Vera Sanwald, Ruby Linder, Eloy Lozano, Ofelia Salalila, William Lozano, Violeto (Tom) Lozano and Anthony Lozano, 3 sisters, 1 half brother, 18 grand children and 16 great grand children. Her service with be held in Kennewick, WA and her ashes will be brought back to her hometown in the Philippines.
