Von Morrison Sr, age 79, of Richland, WA, went to be with the Lord on January 7th, 2018. He was born in Muskogee, OK to Cecile and Joseph "Joe" Morrison on March 26th, 1938 as the oldest of 9 children.
He moved with his family to Pasco, WA in 1951. After graduating Pasco High School in 1956, he served in the Army for four years and worked in construction as a carpenter for several years afterwards.
He was married in March of 1963 to Dorothy Jean Brown and they were blessed to have five children together.
He eventually became an electrician and worked at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation for 8 years. He purchased Alroy printers in 1974 and owned his own printing business until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool and working with wood in his free time.
He was a Godly man and a great father. He enjoyed spending time with both his children and grandchildren. Family was where his heart was and to him, this was the greatest gift given to him. He was always there for his family no matter the situation. He was a generous and caring man who loved to smile. A man of few words but very strong character who touch the lives of many people. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Velma Jean, Cecile Jo and Susan, his brothers Ronald and Francis, and by his beloved daughter, Michelle.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Dorothy Morrison, his sons Von Jr., Clarence and Lance, his daughter Shawna, his sister Donna and his brothers Parren and Joseph Jr. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dennzell, Mitchell, Melissa, Curtis, Carinna, Brianna and Brooklyn.
