William "Bill" Lee Reseck, 78, of Kennewick, Washington passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones on March 5, 2026. He was born on August 16, 1947 in Los Angeles, California to the late Roland Reseck and the late Doreen Duncan Taylor (Tullos).

As a child, Bill lived in Lancaster, California and Grants Pass, Oregon. He often referred to great memories in beautiful country, until they settled in Yerington, Nevada.

At 17, Bill joined the United States Navy, where he served 4 years, during the Vietnam War and upon his return an additional 2 years in the US Naval Reserves. He was proud of the time he spent in the military serving his country. He carried the discipline and grit of his military service throughout his life. After his military career, he worked at the Anaconda Copper Mine in Yerington, Nevada before becoming employed at the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hawthorne, Nevada where he fell in love with Teresa (Manfredi) Reseck. They were married in Reno, Nevada in April 1971 and together had two daughters.

In 1978, Bill moved his family to Pasco, Washington where his career led him into Field Operations for government contractors and retired as a Truck Driver with the Teamsters Local 690. Bill found joy and peace in the outdoors.

Whether it was fishing for the big one, hunting in the woods, boating, camping, enjoying a huge campfire, working on hot rods or riding his side-by-side on the open trails, he felt most at home surrounded by nature, adventure, family and friends. Music was another great love of his life. As a drummer from an early age, competing in the Battle of Bands in the late 60's or keeping the beat for the Red Mountain Band for more than a few decades. He brought energy and heart to every practice or performance. Bill was honored to teach the next generation of drummers.

He was famously stubborn - never one to back down from something he believed in. He was just as well known for his humor and the ability to make people laugh. He built lifelong friendships over the years, adopting many nicknames, such as Hoser, 2 Strap, Red Sack and Wild Willy. Beneath that tough exterior Bill was a deeply devoted and loving man. Bill would give the shirt off of his back if it meant helping someone in need. He was a wonderful husband, proud dad, a cherished grandpa, a treasured great-grandpa, amazing brother and a cool uncle. His family was his greatest treasure and accomplishment. He showed love not just by words but in his presence, by teaching, guiding, fixing, listening, supporting, supervising and always being there when it mattered most.

Bill is survived by Teresa, his loving wife of 54 years, his daughters, Lisa Scott (Adrian Scott) and Heather Reseck-Phelps, Sister Beverly Terry, many Inlaws, several nieces and nephews, six grandchildren, two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his brothers Edgar Reseck, John Reseck and James Reseck.

A public Viewing will be held at Einan's at Hillcrest Kennewick 9353 W Clearwater Ave. on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

A celebration of life will be held in Kennewick, Washington at a later date.
