William Earl Martin, Sr. Papo Kennewick, WA Earl died of natural causes at Hospice House. He was 98 years old. He was born in Louisville, Nebraska on June 6, 1911, to D. Claude and Louise Martin and was the last of three brothers, George and Frank. He married Garnet June Loudon of Pasco on May 29, 1931 in Walla Walla, WA at 11 p.m. quite a story behind this hour. They were married for 52 years. Garnet passed away on August 4, 1983. Earl worked 45 years for Northern Pacific/Burlington Northern Railroad. Earl enjoyed the first dozen years of his retirement traveling with Garnet and their three angels grandchildren to Lake Wallowa, Oregon Coast and any place where they could have fun. In later years he was known to occasionally venture to a casino. He lived all his adult life in Pasco and always considered it his home. He belonged to the Eagles, Moose, Odd Fellows and Elks. For the past few years he had been lovingly cared for by his ex-daughter-in-law, Glenda Martin, in her home after he suffered a broken hip in 2006 and was wheelchair bound. He is survived by his son, William Earl Martin, Jr. wife Jere, his grandchildren, Darren Martin Sheila, his granddaughter, Brenda Chilton Matt, and David Sparks Rosie, his great-grandchildren, Stephanie Earnest, Cody Martin, Spencer Martin, Katelyn Martin, Andrew Chilton and Avery Martin. He had several nieces and nephews in Yakima and the Tri-Cities. He was predeceased by his wife Garnet, his mother, father, grandson, Marty Martin in May 2008, and two brothers, and special friend Babe Redman.
