Clarice Elaine Wren, Age 82, was surrounded by family when she passed away on May 18, 2012 at Richland Lifecare Center as a result of her battle with cancer. She was born on January 25, 1930 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to George and Ellen Davison. She moved with her family to Fresno, CA in 1943 where she attended and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1947. She married Jack Wren, the love of her life, on November 12, 1949 and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. Clarice and Jack were selected for one of the farming units in Block 16. While on their farm, another daughter and a son were added to the family unit. Clarice was very active in the Block 16 Women's Garden Club. This group was responsible for naming the roads in Blocks 15 and 16, selling armbands to hunters to earn money to build their community center and numerous social events for the farming community. She has affected many lives through her endless volunteer activities during her life. While their children were growing, Clarice was a 4-H leader / superintendent for 17 years, and a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of Pasco First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, where she held the role of Sunday School Superintendent and sang in the church choir. Most recently, she loved being a part of the Kadlec Auxiliary and looked forward to the days she went to serve at the hospital, either sewing, visiting with patients, or preparing for social events / meetings. She was a member of Sweet Adelines and the Good Medicine Four quartet for about 20 years. She loved singing, performing and competing with a very talented group of ladies. Her "ham-iness" would shine through and you knew she was having a ball. Clarice was a long distance telephone operator for Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone in Fresno, CA and in Pasco for a total of 10 years, and a furniture saleswoman for Washington Hardware. In 1985, she began working for Harry Lloyd's House of Lloyd "Christmas Around the World" home parties and moved into supervisor status quickly. She loved visiting with people, helping them decorate for Christmas, and earned many cruises on which she and Jack enjoyed spending time together and seeing parts of the world they otherwise wouldn't have seen. In their later years, Clarice and Jack would travel south in their RV during the winter months. She looked forward to these restful, fun journeys every year. Clarice had many interests: sewing, home decorating, RVing, gardening, but the most important and dearest to her heart was her family. She was always there whenever any of the family needed an ear, a hand, or a hug. Clarice is survived by Jack, her beloved husband of 62 years, of Richland; daughter Sandy Farnsworth and husband Larry, Cherie Mason and Linda Wren, all of Pasco; son Steve Wren and wife Vicki, of Denver, CO; sister, Doris Voorhees of Mt. Vernon, WA; 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Ellen Davison and sister, Carol Thomesen. All our lives are richer for having been touched by her love, thoughtfulness, compassion and generosity. Bruce Lee Memorial Chapel will be in charge of cremation.
