Crystal Percifield

Location Manager, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Crystal has lived in the Tri-Cities area since 1985. She previously worked in the dental industry, an experience that helped her perfect the art of building relationships with families. After dedicating 18 years to this, she elected for a career change, feeling she could put her skills to better use by helping and serving the families at Sunset.

Crystal started in the death care industry at Einan’s in 2019. She Graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Services from Dallas Texas in June 2023. She is also a member of the Washington Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Association board of directors. Her passion is helping and serving others.

Apart from building connections with families at Sunset, Crystal is all about connecting with her own family. One of the most important things for Crystal is making memories and creating traditions with family and friends. She is passionate about the outdoors and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Caren Heinze

Lead Administrative Support, Funeral Director Intern, Marker Designer

Caren was born in Oregon, but her family settled in Pasco, Washington, in 1970, where she grew up as the fourth of five children. After graduating from local schools, she continued her education at BYU-Idaho (formerly Ricks College). She's blessed with four children, three stepchildren, and thirteen wonderful grandchildren. Of all her titles, “grandma” is the one she treasures most, and her weekends are often filled with cheering on her grandkids at their sporting events, attending church, or working at the Toyota Center during Tri-Cities Americans hockey games or concerts.

In 2017, she began her career in the funeral industry as a Secretary at Hillcrest in Kennewick. She now takes pride in making Einan’s at Hillcrest a place of comfort and care, helping families find a soft place to land on some of their hardest days.

Marce Garcia-Mendoza

Funeral Home Location Manager & Cemetery Office Manager (Cemetery / Hablo Español)

Marce Garcia-Mendoza is a dedicated Funeral Director Intern and Cemetery Office Manager with Einan's at Hillcrest and Columbia River Gardens Cemetery. Bilingual and biliterate, she brings over 7 years of experience in the funeral industry, specializing in decedent repatriation to their homeland.

Having lived in Kennewick since 2001, Marce graduated from Southridge High School and attended Columbia Basin College. Her professional background also includes over 17 years in customer service and administration, where she has honed her skills in providing compassionate support to families during difficult times.

Marce married her first love, and together they share four wonderful children, making family her top priority. Outside of work, she enjoys the simple joys of farm life and homesteading, cherishing time spent with her loved ones. While not particularly fond of sweets, Marce has a love for tacos and prefers a good book over technology. Her traditional, conservative lifestyle reflects her values and the importance she places on family.

Llulisma "Julie" Torres has been a dedicated member of the Tri-Cities community since 1997, building a career grounded in compassion and service. With a background shaped by attending a small Christian school, Julie’s journey into caregiving began with a deep desire to help others. She started her professional path as a Certified Nursing Assistant, first working in a rehabilitation center, where she discovered her passion for helping people feel better. She later gained valuable experience as an in-home caregiver and, eventually, in hospice care, where she developed her skills in empathetic communication and learned the importance of truly seeing the person behind each patient.

Today, Julie is proud to be part of Einan's at Hillcrest Pasco, a role that allows her to serve families during some of life’s most profound moments. Her experience with Hillcrest Funerals and Cremation has been instrumental in her professional growth, fostering her commitment to empathetic, person-centered service. Julie finds daily inspiration in the many ways she and her team can provide meaningful support to those they serve. In her personal life, Julie treasures time spent with her wife, three children, and their four pets. Together, they enjoy spontaneous trips, camping, fishing, and family movie nights, building memories that bring joy and balance to her life.

Kaitlin was born and raised in Richland, WA. Having spent many years working for a locally owned small business, Kaitlin understands and cares about giving back to the community. She enjoys volunteering and organizing community events that support small businesses and local artists. Kaitlin puts pride and effort into her work and is always willing to go the extra mile to make things just right. Her background in art and photography translates into great attention to detail and being skilled at seeing someone else’s vision. Kaitlin has always been very organized and will ensure your loved one is cared for, and final arrangements are made with compassion. Living in the Tri-Cities Kaitlin enjoys being outdoors camping, hiking and photographing nature with her husband and two teenage boys.
